Overview
Tis the season! It was that time of year again and I was tasked with creating the design for our company holiday swag for all employees.
Exploration
THEME EXPLORATIONSThe beginning of this process was all explorative and to get all my winter ideas out of my head. I went through various ideas, styles and themes until one eventually stuck.
I was thinking about cross stitched sweaters and made our Tray Motis out of that pattern. Then the idea sparked to use the Tray Motis as the cross stitch!
Exploration
MOTIFSAfter gaining positive feedback on the cross stitched Motis pattern, I started to work on the main motifs of the design and leaned into snowflakes, reindeer and an ornament. Once those were complete, I put them together in one big design layout. I used the grid in illustrator to meticulously place every Motis.
Final Mock-ups
BOX, CARD AND PINSI mocked up the designs for production and they turned out perfect! I created 3 different snowflake designs since all snowflakes are unique and I thought it’d be pretty cool for each employee to get something a little different. The box was my absolute favorite since it was the design that took up the bulk of my time. I just felt so proud when it came in the mail and getting slacks from coworkers about the design. :’-)
